PLANTING GLADIOLUS CORMS
Tips, Tricks
Time to plant Gladiolus in my fake whiskey barrels. I called them Irises at one point with a correction hopefully I only did it one time. The barrels had leaves on them to protect the soil over the winter. All of that was removed to the compost bin along with a couple inches of soil and Bulb tone, Osomocote and compost was added for this years flowers and next years new corms.

Ohhhh I can't wait to see the Glads come up. I just love them. The cages are a really great way to hold them up. I always had the hardest time with that part. Mine were always blowing over. I don't think I planted them deep enough either. Oh well, that was a long time ago, and I'm a lot more patient now, and don't have 4 kids trying to rip up the entire yard anymore either. LOLOL It's so green there now, how beautiful!

You really need to keep those things in barrels. As pretty as they are, they will take over an entire garden in no time! Chuck
