Hello Mr Ray. I'd like to know if its possible to pick-up asparagus plants that grows on the side of the road and transplant them in a box like yours ? I've asked this question on another video, got an answer from a viewer that told me not to bother and buy new crowns. I'd like some details on why it is preferable to start with new plants. Since the asparagus are near from a produce farm (1/8 mile away), I thought it would be nice to give it a try and its free. Thank you very much.

haven't had much luck with my four year old asparagus bed. I have been mulching it and hasn't produced as much as I would have hoped. Is mulching bad for them? I am really bummed because I didn't have enough to try to can this year.

half a worm will survive and still reproduce caught that - so dig away... i do the same however my gardens are now so loose i can just use my hands to dig down and plant

For the asparagus seedling, do you need to thin it ? Last year, I bought the seedling and I thinned it so each shoot is spaced in the soil. Or the shoots will space it itself automatically along the container ?

Hi Ray.. I just saw on peppersgrowing's video that your cantaloup vines have already two or three fruits growing.. The vines i'm growing are huge and green but i no fruits yet.. There's a tons of male flowers but i don't see any female flowers.. Is there anything i'm doing wrong that prevent female flowers from showing up ?
