Plant Growing Time Lapse - Echinacea
Tips, Tricks
Plants. They sit there and look boring in real time. However, when you speed them up you find that they are dancing around quite a bit. Watch as this echinacea plant moves to the beat of a hard rock song. This is my first attempt at shooting a time lapse video of a plant. I shot for just less than two months. I used a Sony VX2100 Mini DV camera in interval record mode. It took half a second of video every 10 minutes. I then used Final Cut Pro to speed up the video about 5000 times faster. The song is "New World Grave" from the Studiocutz Music Library.

That is not true. It is waving for help.

its trying to fly!

I was shooting one every 10 minutes, but then I still had to speed it up in Final Cut Pro. If you could shoot once an hour that would be enough. It depends on how long you want to shoot for.

If i were to use a TLC200 or a Gopro Hero 2, what interval would i use to acheve this kind of speed?
