Is there a reason why you cant grow them in the oven?
-
good job :)
-
wow you certainly earned that coffee at the end of the video
-
Do you need more than one plant to get them to produce the beans ?
-
Hilarious warning for baristas. Really helpful. Thank you.

I am going to make a coffee now and enjoy it more than usual.

Great video, I live in brisvegas too, always wanted to try and grow some coffee, look like a lot of work. Maybe don't roast them too long and might be stronger

It's hard to believe how much work goes into making one cup of coffee! Great video XJS! Simply amazing :)

I saw you put the seeds in a metal pan on a cloth. Why not straight onto the metal pan? Also do you put them directly under the sun? Thanks.

Very interesting. I tried to grow a dwarf arabica myself and it was doing fine with just water. But as per the instructions I added dynamic lifter and the next day the leaves were wilting. This continued until it just died. I don't know for sure what I did wrong. Where in Qld are you? I'm in the Logan area. We must have similar climates.

Asher Yaron (The Coffee Freak) was kind enough to send me the following comments and suggestions...
Very nice, great job! A couple of suggestions. try fermenting for 24 hours, 3 days is a long time. When removing the dried mucilage, try using a hammer to break them off, the seeds, if properly dried, are strong enough to survive the blow. For roasting, get a hot air popcorn popper, 50 grams takes only 4 minutes and does a much better job roasting the coffee very evenly. Finally, when brewing, a good commercial grinder and Espresso machine will extract the most flavor. Since it is so fresh roasted you should be able to get a stronger brew.
Congrats!

I'm in Bris too. I've been growing dwarf plants for about 3 yrs. I've got a bit shy of a kilo this year, but my younger plants will yield more next year. Great climate for them. I can't believe more people don't try
