We can produce organic seedlings, and they can go to the field with flower and fruit, within 30 days. I am an engineer, passion fruit specialist and I try work in a passion fruit farm, in the United States, I have experience in plant biotechnology and molecular biology. with production of dragon fruit seedlings, leads 72 hs, of the opening of the fruit to transplant the seedling produced, we can modify, shape, aroma, flavor, color pulp, juice volume

Continued, for Marisol: "From observation, if the snails do too much damage to the vine, it does look like the vine might be dying and may turn yellow. I think this might be due to the vine's inability to photosythysize which immediately slows growth. I usually watch for new growth once eliminating the source of the damage and if new leaves do not appear on the end of the major stem, it likely will take much longer to get the vine going and might be more prudent to replace the vine."

Hi Marisol, Farmer John Koman of White Dove Passion Fruit Farm says: "I cannot address the moth on passion fruit vine issue per se, but I will tell you that our own nemisis - when vines are newly planted - are snails..."

Passion fruit farmer John Koman of White Dove says that it "depends on the variety. If it's a purple passion fruit, wait until it turns purple. If you have yellow passion fruit, wait until they turn yellow. That would be the earliest to pick. They will 'color up' further once they're off the vine, if you wait until they start to turn to pick." Wait until they get wrinkly to eat passion fruit.

I have a passion fruit vine. It is full of fruit. How do you know when the fruit is ripe and ready to eat? Thanks
-
I love passion fruits but I though it had green skin not purple?

@HairdoChicken Hello, thanks for writing. Farmer John Koman says: some parts of the plant are hallucenogenic and I am not sure if it is the leaves or the flowers or both. We do not recommend either to be eaten - if you are looking for something really special, try pineapple guava petals - sugary like nectar and very pleasant - a great addition to a salad in small portions (otherwise you would not get fruit unless the flower was already pollinated and then how would you know!) Enjoy!

Great video. I didn't know we grew passion fruit in the United States for commercial use. I have a few vines that I started from seed but our winter here in Texas will probably kill them.
