I love the video and the information. But I heard that even if you select a property or state that may possibly allow you to live off the grid, sooner or later government officials will enter your property, start taking pictures, and force you to go to court. I'm not sure if this is true, but it would be nice to save money for other things.

I think something good to mention is preparing to make the transition into that lifestyle. I've been living in a vehicle for so long, that it's hard for me to stay in modern dwelling for any length of time. I find it strange behavior to see a group of people gathered around a television. It's easier for me to think clearly and function normally living on the road. As for those gathered around the TV, I begin to reflect on the difficulties I've encountered adapting this life. I imagine the enormous amount of stress on those who choose to follow these guidelines you've mentioned without having enough experience living off the grid. -
My main concern is the pest situation. I have lived in alot of states, So I know i dont want to live anywhere south of Nebraska, How is the pest/bug situation where you are? And did you consider any of the states along the canadian border? And why didnt you choose any of those?

Awesome, informative video. Thank you. Planning on an off grid pole barn, with Rv, integration, solar, municipal water with backup source, wood fuel, propane backup. Gravitating towards Denver or Salt Lake. Great video.

if you've already done this, you should provide links to federal law resources and identified for people what the big issues are.

I may resort to live in a tree-house in... NY... meh. But I hope that NH, the "Live free or Die' state is the place to be. Any thoughts?

Power Grid. An electrical grid is an interconnected network for delivering electricity from suppliers to consumers. Not sure there's much confusion about what being off grid is. What you mean, I think, is how you want to proceed once you're not connected to the power grid and whether you're allowed to in any given area.
