What about for grubs? I know that they are the larvae of beetles, and I can use your suggestions for the leaves and beatles, but the grubs? Can DE be used in the soil or on the soil for grubs? Not sure if they will be affected at all if mixed in the soil. Thanks!

Can you spray the neem solution, allow it to dry, and then apply the D-earth? I don't know if it's too much of a good thing. Thank you LDS.

Can anyone tell me what is that white powder he is using? I can't get the name of it....
btw, is anyone tried it? for which plants it works the best? -
Do any of you have any recipes for getting rid of ants? I think I have a nest somewhere as my front and back yard is covered in ants and they keep bringing aphids to my crops! I have an organic garden so I need organic ways to treat, do u have any ideas? And yes I have neem oil

Where did u get your Brussels sprouts

I have used all 3, but have had problems w/ neem oil frying the plant or not killing the spider mites. I found a better organic spray for spider mites is "azatrol" with less plant damage. Drawback is that it's expensive Also, as someone mentioned, there is a "gibson" applicator for about $15.00 that works real well for the d.e. you can get it on both sides of the leaf. Nice looking bok choy btw
-
Will this effect the growth of the plant? As we still has to eat it.
-
have you ever tried the gibson applicator? works pretty well, leaves a very thin layer on your leaves.
-
Thank you for the excellent content. Awesome to see people exploring how to better themselves .

That damage looks like caterpillars laid by butterflies / moths. Not sure diatomaceous earth works on those. Also, Re; neem, it tastes horrible.
Here is a new spray for aphid (sucking pests) control made using Edible food ingredients like Olive oil. So this is an organic method (OMRI listing will be applied for soon). The new emulsification method does NOT use soap, so the sprays are made with food and actually taste good and are safe to eat. Basically a vinaigrette:

Isn't diatoumasous earth or whatever just cornstarch?
-
Sorry, but those pesticides are not organic. read the percentage of neem oil, it's only 1 %
