-
I love mushrooms...
-
Hi Brad, have you ever thought of growing Roridula?
-
the most exciting thing I've ever seen. incredible !!
-
It's happening where the plastic is not where it wasn't scratched ;) I left my plastic plus there and it grew great!!
-
hi brad congratulations. told you that mushrooms grow so fast anyway congrats man keep the videos going:)
-
you should have left the plastic on i think. :O
-
Yay! They can clearly be seen growing! It's as you said, once we see them, we see more and more. It's so fun to follow these updates. Have you considered making a time-lapse video of them growing? or would it be impractical? Thanks for sharing!

From my experience in growing mushrooms. The mushrooms are forming mostly on the sides because of the higher humidity on the edges because of the plastic semi covering it. The overhanging plastic is forming a "casing" so to say.
It has nothing to do with the light. Mushrooms like a natural 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark. -
I always grew them in the basement. I don't think they like light much.
-
wow, that's amazing on day 6. Seems like the extra holes really helped. I'm not sure I'm going to do my kit, it seems so much more complicated than yours ;D I like that your kit came with everything you needed and is self-contained. Isn't that what a kit is supposed to be?? Oh well, I look forward to see the progress on yours ;-)

Very Cool
-
THEY HATE LIGHT!!!
-
They technically don't need any light. They don't photosynthesise. Keep the humidity up :)
-
mushrooms do not need light at all. commercial growers use deep caves or old mines or pitch black growing facilities. I've use my veggie cellar that is completely dark and humid.
-
Mushrooms don't like the light that's why the are growing round the sides give them some shade dude they are woodland plants.
-
Thanks so much for the updates Brad, its so cool to see the little mushrooms coming through, XXXXX <3
-
I thought that mush rooms don't need so much light?
