Thanks. Early April outdoors or indoors?

To help them sprout faster soak them in water over night then plant the seeds. Like others have said okra doesn't like transplant. You lose about 1-3 weeks because of transplant shock. The sooner you transplant the better off you will be. If you have a short growing season you're almost better off just having them start and finish in a 5 gallon bucket.

Thanks very much
When planting season okra -
I have grown okra for many years. They do much better direct seeded than growing seedlings and transplanting them.

maybe you should use a firehose the next time you water it

I just stick my seeds in the ground & get out the way. This method is fine for a small patch; but if you're planting a lot, this would be a lot of extra work. Okra is very easy to grow.

So when will it germinate? would it germinate faster if the seed were nicked? Remember, the seeds were the topic of the video. and that's not "all there is to it."
