New Iris Bed - Wisconsin Garden Video Blog 706
Tips, Tricks
See More Garden Goodies: http://www.WisconsinGarden.com - - - We are tackling another new iris bed along the south driveway that desperately needs the invading grass eliminated. Just like replanting our iris patch along the main driveway, it’s time to divide, inspect and prep this diverse iris bed before replanting. In addition to the iris we are moving some Liatris and collecting all the tulip bulbs that were also in this area. While the weather is cooperating and a bit cooler with less humidity, we still intend to work under the shade of our picnic table umbrellas. Once everything is removed and ready for planting, we will amend the soil with peat moss and perlite to keep the soil looser. With the help of our mini tiller we will reclaim the soil and start planting. We’ll also take a sneak peek at Tim’s surprise Zinnias and another surprise gift from Scott & Sarah Miller from Ohio. Our deepest thanks.

Do you sell your tubers. I would love to have some starter tubers for your Pallida Variegata (grape koolaid) Iris plants to start my garden in my new home in Western Ky. I dont have any plants to trade yet as everything I have is still in Texas. Not sure if my Texas plants would do good there anyway.

enjoyed your video and happy 4th of July to you both and mini more

That grass is one of the worst! My wife & I had to screen/dig down 6-10" b4 we felt we got it all. I hope you did too, 'cuz any little piece of root will come back. Those are easier to dig out when they sprout because you've already loosened the soil, but it still took a couple of years of pulling to really eliminate it completely. Good Luck with it!
PLEASE, take some time this week-end to relax and enjoy your yard. Isn't that the reason you work so hard to make it beautiful? So you can enjoy?
Thanks for all you do & show. -
hi awesome job. Where you buy your flowers? Lillies, peony, iris and more.

It's a lot of work, but great satisfaction. We've had some cooler weather here in Iowa, so my husband and I tackled the weeds in amongst our roses, mulched them and it looks so nice. Worth every minute. Have you ever planted Goats Beard? Lovely little plant.

We have been watching your saga of invasive plants, my wife T, said it was going to be difficult, and she was tight four very long days, a broken water heater, and still a small area to be done. Things are looking wonderful as always, you two never give up. Get some rest, thanks for sharing
