LOL! I was hoping you could tell me. My lilacs look worse!

Fertilize and spread a lot of LIME on them.....they need a lot of sun also....
-
I'm curious to know if you resolved this.
-
it will be the next year or even two years

YOUR Ph is off!...they like alkaline soil..that means LIME......wouldn't hurt to use Miracle Grow on them also and in the spring ...the Miracle Grow for flowers (high Middle number)....Enrich your soil with Manure...Dry version is sold by Espoma...look for it at your nursry

How many weeks after blooming do you cut them back? And do you see the results in the same year or the following year? Thanks

Mine weren't doing too well and than I read that you should cut them back after blooming. I really cut them back, at least 1/3 and they're blooming like crazy this year....They got so much thicker too...good luck...

They have been cut at the wrong time, they should be cut after blooming. Your dud one looks like it has new growth...get rid of the dead wood, as the nutrients are going to the dead wood.

Your landscaper can't be very good, your yard should be full of flowers.
