My Top 5 Tips For Growing Tomatoes.
Tips, Tricks
These are just a few of my tomato growing tips. It was hard to pick just 5, but I think these five are probably my top 5. I might go into more detail on some of them at some point, but wanted to share this for now. I garden in zone 6b. We have some pretty challenging weather sometimes. I don't claim to be an expert, so you will see my successes and my failures. I really appreciate feedback, so please say hi so I'll know you've dropped by. If you would like to be notified when new videos are posted, please subscribe at: https://www.youtube.com/user/WarLetters I also have a gardening blog at: http://mygardenyourgarden.blogspot.com I recently started a page on facebook. It will include photos and some additional information that doesn't show up on youtube. https://www.facebook.com/midwestgardener

this is my first year trying to grow a small garden and I must say I've become a little obsessed. I have definitely made mistakes but have learned from them. can't wait to try again next year. I've watched a few of your videos and have learned a lot.. I'm in south Mississippi and heat is my main problem.

Drip irrigation is definitely the way to go. Its that deep soak without very much evaporation. Nice plants, look very healthy.

Your drip irrigation is different than mine, the emitters seem to be 'fused' on, what brand is it and do you have a instructional video?
ps: found your drip irrigation videos

the 'snap' type fittings shown in the instructional vids are more like mine but the one shown at approx. 9:32 looks like a glued or fused fitting is it a different type than shown in your instructional videos....if so it looks like that might be the answer to some of my leaking fittings, I could patch that area instead of using a coupler. -
Watering is my biggest challenge in Arizona; It is so hot, I always wonder if they need more water. That's why, I always stick my finger in the soil to see how moist it is. I should extend my dripping system to my eatable plants. Thank you for all the tips!

I found this helpful. Where do you get your wood chips? I've called both the city and the local wood trimming company and they have none. So either I don't get any or I wait until next spring. I can use straw in the meantime...
