Mint Wonderful Mint: How To Care For & Plant This Fragrant Herb
Tips, Tricks
I love pretty much any herb. I do a lot of cooking & have a raised bed of herbs in the back yard that I can pick from all year long whenever my little heart desires. Of all the herbs, mint is my very favorite. Get care tips here & also see how I plant my new Cuban & Syrian Mints in a container. It’s planted in a terra cotta container otherwise it would take over raised bed as well as part of the garden. That’s how mint grows – vigorously without regards for any of the space around it. If you’re new to the world of planting mint and don’t want a total takeover, here are 2 words: contain it. There are SO many varieties of mint it makes my head spin. How in the world is a girl supposed to choose just 1 spearmint?! Regardless of all the choices, this is a plant with purpose. It’s found in the culinary, medicinal, cosmetic and fragrance industries as well as in homes everywhere. I know 1 thing for sure: I’ll always have it in my garden. In a pot that is! Thank you very much! -
How much mint can I take from the plant and how long does it take to grow back? I'm scared of consuming more than I grow...

Hi, I have mint plants and this is the first year that my mint has flourished and lived for many months. I want to protect them as it gets colder but I can't bring them inside because I lack space near any lighted areas. I thought about a mini sheltered greenhouse but I live about 20 feet from the bay and it gets really cold when the wind comes off the water. Please suggest how I can keep my mint safe for many months to come.

spiders hate mints, thanks for the teaching:)

*never touch a plant, put gloves on because your skin oil blocks fresh air. :)

How fast would it take a single mint plant to spread to about 8 feet.

Enjoyed this. I have a mint plant, but the leaves on mine are tiny. Not sure if that is because of the type of mint that it is. Perhaps, I will replant it in a bigger pot as you did in the video. I haven't been eating my mint. Wasn't really sure how to actually. I mostly wanted it for the scent. You mentioned mint water. That sounds refreshing.
