Working in 1.10?

Definitely going to be building one of these. Just a quick question, do you have a video about the basics of Redstone so that I can understand how the block/torch/block/torch setup at the back actually works. It's not really that important for this build but I am intrigued as to how that setup creates the desired effect.

Thanks this works for me too!
-
omfg i looked 3 hours for this vid 0_o

To make this work on the latest version on Minecraft(Not snapshot), reduce the size from 7x7 to 5x5
Water now only flows 5 blocks diagonally and hydrates only 5 blocks around it -
Best design ever thank you
-
your stackable wheat farm from 1.4 still seems to trump this...
-
For the double design on the button side just put a repeater into the block with the torch on top and then redstone all along the back connecting the two blocks. The repeater strong powers the 1st block and then the redstone carries to the 2nd block with both torches being shut off when the button is pressed at the same time.

is there a way to do this without a hopper because i'm on xbox?
-
Actually for the double design you can use 2 signs instead of a fence gate, just by placing a sign in the wall next to the opening, and then another sign connected to the side of the first one. Of course that's only if you don't like fence gates xD
Awesome tutorial dude, I loved it, already working on trying this in a server I'm playing. Tyvm -
Sadly it doesn't work with pumpkins D:

Why does one layer work then another doesn't then the next does??? The layers alternate. I believe the redstone is correct. I did a block then torch then block the torch and so on!
-
one button to rule them all...
-
Good Design but next time explain how to build the double layer also

So do you put, water buckets in the dispenser
-
There's a more efficient way to make this, I made it myself actually, make a 9x9 plot and in the middle put down 1 bucket of water, 1 bucket is all you need for this farm, let gravity take the water down, the water will fertilize the land, EVEN if its not a source block. the water will also take place of stairs, its is very compact and very efficient. 1 plot should produce 80 wheat, or whatever you decide to grow.

Great design! Worked really well for the particular area I'm in.
-
Do you have to restock the dispenser every time?
-
Thanks!
