A cheap and cheerful mob trap for single player :) I came up with this trap design a week or two ago and realised that it was very cost efficient in terms of resource expenditure and production rate. This is the refined version, it is by no means the fastest trap you can build, but it is hard to beat in terms of resource efficiency ;) If the video was at all unclear then you can download the world and check it out for yourself! Built this lovely as directed, (survival, peaceful), then turned on mobs to hard and turned her on, (with a few minor adjustments such as half slab covering the lowest water line and torches everywhere)... Just over 2k mob drops in an hour! Now I'm building a second one starting at bedrock with a hopper line in place of the lowest water line. This way, I hope to keep the lower levels of the machine in areas where (maybe) I'll spawn slimes as well as everything it already spawns. I'll let you know when it's complete and has a drops/hour test. Great build!

No offense, but I seriously doubt you built 6 entire floors in 5 minutes. Or even 15 minutes for that matter. I'm a pretty quick builder and it took me quite some time.

There is a problem with baby zombies any got any fix for that?

Can I import this to a specific world or would I have to start a new one ? and how do I import it to minecraft?

After learning a bit about mob spawning, I think that it's more efficent to light up the caves and the area, and not to build this over y = 128....

In my trap that I made like this one, the lava didn't kill the spiders so I used the spiders as an XP farm in the collection area :)
