MFG 2013 2 of 3 How to Thin 2 Week Old Radishes & Succession Planting - Spread Out Harvesting!
Tips, Tricks
Radishes won't grow to size unless you give them space. Succession planting is basically not planting all your seeds at one. Plant them in 2 week intervals. This way you prolonged the harvesting period and don't get all your radish at once. Welcome to My 1st Vegetable Garden. This channel is 100% dedicated to new vegetable gardeners that want to learn and have lots of questions. I will teach you how to seed start, plant, tend and harvest vegetables. Please subscribe! This video is the second in a series about growing radishes. Radishes should be thinned after about 2 weeks of growth. You don't need perfect spacing but you want about an inch of space between plants to grow full sized globe radishes. Please help spread the world of my channel to all the new gardeners you know that are looking for a friendly place to learn. Have questions? Leave them in any comment box and I will get back to you in 24 hours.

Can you freeze radishes?what do you suggest to keep them longer other than succession planting?
-
those that you pulled... could you have planted them elsewhere?
-
I don't. I actually rinse them and just eat them.
-
That's a good idea. The ones you take out do you replant them?

Thanks. I have issues with the radishes forming sometimes. Next year I am not adding any nitrogen and focusing on phosphorous. I want bigger radishes!
