I am considering between a dwarf or the standard Myer Lemon. Can you give me an estimate of how much fruit yield you can expect per year on a single dwarf tree (planted in ground) ?

Does the meyer lemon tree in container need to be a dwarf variety. Or can you grow regular meyer lemon in a container. Will it die eventually if not transplanted into the ground?

I live in Birmingham, AL so it is nearing the time when I need to bring my tree inside. Can you give me a primer on grow lights? My tree is about three years old and has lots of fruit on the way. What wattage should I buy and how long should I leave the light on each day? What else should I look for in a grow light?

I use jobe"s granular fertilizer or Dr. Earths exotic blend on my orange lemon lime and pineapples in Iowa never had a problem. I get it from amazon. Feed potassium to your banana or it wont bloom in Iowa. Keep pineapple out of direct sunlight in Iowa or it will ripen to fast and be the size of a softball. It is mostly cloudy in Hawaii with a mist every hour for 2 minutes.

how often do you fertilize those trees? what soil do you use?

My Meyer Lemon tree is about 4 or 5 years old and has grown well. It is about 4 feet tall and I have transplanted it several times and it is now in a quite large pot. It has never flowered or produced fruit. What might I be doing wrong?

Hello, I have a query about cacoa, chocolate tree. Does theobroma necessarily need to be raised from grafts or cuttings in order to bear fruits in containers/pots? Or will seed-grown bear fruit? I live in a non-tropical climate (England, UK), so I have no option other than to grow ultra-tropicals as containerised indoor houseplants plants- they'll die if planted outside. But I note that you are successfully growing ultra-tropicals in a non-tropical region of North America, which gives me hope! I am currently growing carambola, soursop and miracle fruit- all from seed. However, I feel that grafts or cuttings would be a more viable option for these, otherwise they may never bear fruit in containers (or, it will be a long, long wait before they do).

Help I planted my dwarf Myers lemon tree last year got 2 lemons off of it. I brought it into the house over the winter ( live in Virginia) but its gets below 30 quite ofter in the winter, It was doing great growing like crazy in t he house and put out alot of new fruit buds. I transplanted it this week from a 12 inch pot to a 14 or so inch pot. Since I've transplanted it it has been dropping leaves like crazy I'm afraid if it keeps up it will die due to no ability to photosynthesis via the leaves. Any suggestions???

I just purchased a cocktail lemon/lime tree. It's in a 13"terracotta pot in front of my southern-western bedroom window. It gets sunlight between 7:30 -4:30. It had lots of flowers and when I tried to pollinate it with qtips, alot of the flowers fell off. It's late January-do I fertilize now, how often to water. This my second tree, the first one had scab/citrus mites and now it is just a brown twig. Any advice on saving my trees is needed.

My citrus which I planted from seeds grow only 3-4 inches and that's it, not any more. They do not die but just stop growing to become a proper indoor plant. They get good sun, water, heat, no bug in soil. I really have no idea why I can't grow any type of citrus to an at least as big as an indoor plant size.
Thanks. -
Love meyer lemons. Amazing and different. My tree rewarded me with lots of them. I live in zone 7.
