Donna, it is nice to see you have started the gardening season. I look forward to all your updates and new videos. I bet you were just beaming with delight when you saw the buds on the pomegranite bush. :0)

The new garden layout looks great. Hopefully it helps cut back on the black walnut tree toxins this season! I'm in 6b too (in MD) but we are supposed to get 3-5" of snow this weekend (BOO!) so I guess my spring seed sowing will have to wait another couple of weeks :( I hope your garden year is productive, looking forward to seeing everything grow!

Great video as always! I am so excited for spring! I was able to get spinach, carrot, and sugar snap pea seeds in the garden this weekend.

No summer gardens for me this year : ( Having hand surgery at the end of this month.

This my favorite go to for instructions in gardening. As long as I have been gardening I am still a novice with no green thumb! I did ok last year but hope to be on top of it this year for satisfying production. Your style is much like my mother's was and as my sister's is ...the pure enjoyment of it! My sister is the queen of container growing. It is just majestic! We are in our 60's, live apart, her husband does the veggies and fruits. My husband goes to the beach and farms shells and sea glass. haha . Both of us couples live on L.I. sound in eastern CT. Doesn' t get too much better than that.

I'm sorry but I can't find the blueberry bush link you mentioned in the video. Would you mind linking me please. Thank you!

I know that you change some of your soil but after a few years in the same place the dill may loose some of its punch. I found out a few years ago that my dill started looking a bit ill and the taste was too mild for me. I thought it was old seeds but when I called gurneys they asked me if I had been planting it in the same spot in my beds for several years and I said that I had. They told me to completely change the top 4 to 6 inches of soil or change planting locations. I have never had the problem since. May never be a problem if you ever see it you will know what to try!

Small glass cloches, which you can make yourself, even large 5 litre plastic bottles with the bottoms cut off will work. I'm starting a pomegranate here in France but I am envious of your lemon tree - it looks fabulous! All the very best, Sue

What kind of peppers are you growing Donna? I am just starting my little seedlings! You've insprired me to really get serious about my gardening again. ;))

Great advice, Donna! Keep spreading the word! ;-)

Very nice. I'm in northern Wisconsin so can't do much yet. I have my tomatoes started and they will be in 2 gallon pots by the time of last frost which is middle of May. I'm going to try Pak Choy this year and probably start the seedlings early and maybe plant early. I'm not sure if they are frost tolerant or not. I've had blueberries in for a couple years but haven't touched them. The deer did some pruning of their own.

Donna how long does the snow keep your soil moist after it has melted? I would have thought you would not need to water initially.

Glad to see what you've got going on! Thanks for keeping us updated :) :) :)
