Malaysian Pumpkin: Exotic Plants In The Enchanted Garden - Late Season Gardening Review by Aiman
Tips, Tricks
This video was part of the segment done by Aiman during late gardening season during October of 2013. This video was uploaded but it was not published as "public". In this video Aiman reviewed other plants in his backyard such as the Malaysian Pumpkin (labu manis), Okra, Garlic and Climbing Roses. An interesting thing about the leaves of the Malaysian Pumpkin is that when you touched them they feel like little fireants biting your palm or fingers. This pumpkin plant also require at least 4 months of warmer tropical like weather so it may not appropriate to plant north of zone 7. The pumpkin can be cooked as vegetable before it ripes. Once ripe the taste is coarse as compared to regular pumkin, yet not as mushy. It may last in storage for over a year maybe longer. . ⊰⊱ EYEONAIMAN (Eye On Aiman) ⊰⊱
