A few earwigs are beneficial and so are a few ants. Too many cause a problem and traps keep them under control.

Last year when I planted my cantaloupes, as soon as the germinated the earwigs got them, can you please tell me how beneficial is that to me. Watching this video just made me so freaking mad.

ya they also eat my watermelon cucumbers corn ect. ect....they are not a benifit what the hell? I call that benificially screwing up my garden

They are eating the roots of my house plants. And isn't it true that they are called "Ear"wigs because they eat the Ears of Corn? I grew corn once and the ears were all eaten inside the husk and there they were - Earwigs.
