Landscaping On A Budget - Wisconsin Garden Video Blog 411
Tips, Tricks
Landscaping on a budget is a perfect project for our neighbors Dean and Ellen. They wanted to re-landscape the front of their house and ask us for some advice. They hired our son Skye to do the work once the overall landscaping plan was in place. The weeds needed to be eliminated, 4,400 pounds of natural stone delivered, and a couple new plants selections made, we were ready for some simple clean makeover.

I would have used a Magnolia (up to zone 4 now) Rhododendrons and Hydrangeas....think yah missed the boat on the beautiful shrubs available today......rock is gonna be miserable to move to plant annuals and perennials! Also the whole area should have been tilled and peat moss and other additives should have been used....Groups of odd numbers 3,5,7.....and never plant in straight lines.....and gentle curved borders!

Stone is a MISERABLE mulch to work with...heavy and smothers plants and ridiculously hard to move around to garden in the future...Bark mulch or rubber is superior!...BTW those gutters have all sorts of crap in them they need cleaning!
