Great news, my kabocha seed has sprouted!!!! Well, one out of four at the moment anyway. May I ask when can I transfer them to bigger pot? Hopefully they survive Canada winter until I can plant them in my backyard

I am in Quebec, Canada; and winter is coming :(((

Thank you kindly for your reply. But to late, i already planted 4 seeds :)))! I couldn't wait because I was looking at your garden as you drove around to get to the planting area. It was so beautiful and I thought it was such a wonderful thing to see things that we planted, nurtured, see them grow, and blossom. Such an ignorant fool I was, i have never looked at things that way. Thank you. P.s: the rest of the seeds I will let them dry out then try again if the first 4 didn't germinate

Thank you for a very clear and informative video. I have just bought a kabocha squash, and have collected some seeds. I want to try to plant it in a pot indoor and hoping it will germinate and survive the winter so I can plant them in the backyard in the spring. Can I plant the seed right away or do I have to wait for them to dry out first? What do I need to do to keep the plant growing indoor? Thank you kindly .

Great video, and already ordered my seeds for next year!

Thanks for showing this. I haven't planted out mine yet. Just sowed them. Not as warm here in UK. I'm trying the varieties which are multi coloured , shapes and sizes, so until they grow, I won't know which are which.mshould be fun.

Great video and awesome channel! I really like how you do some garden experiments, trying different methods and comparing them, and I also like that you use worm castings and compost.

Hello Dear George! Question: if you fertilize it at the moment of transplant, when will you fertilize it again? How many days or weeks in between fertilization? And can this be done with all plants at tranplantition? Thank you for your time! God bless!

Our favorite Squash to eat... you have again inspired us to make room for another, for next year.

Really like planting kabocha and other winter squash, but I have to plan sparingly this year. Squash vine borer are just relentless.

For the last three years my Squash & Zucchini has been hit with the Squash Vine Borrower. I have considered netting but I really don't have time to hand pollinate. What method do you use to insure pollination?

Awesome update thank you for sharing have a blessed day

Beautiful property OAG. Great video too. Thanks for sharing!

Love you for this old timer. I believe in doing lots of test in my garden for myself and the viewers. That bird netting may be the answer for you. I guess we will find out. Also love how you plants many of your crop from seeds. inexpensive and the reward is even greater. Good seeing you back on here. You one of my favorites!

Wow, lots of ornamentals (on your tractor trip) I don't remember having seen before :-)
