Love those tulip colour combinations, exactly my own taste. Definitely would appreciate seeing the herbaceous aspect later in the year too : )

belissime tutti questi colori!!!

Larch is one of my favourites as it's deciduous - this means one of the best Spring greens' there is. My little Japanese Larch bonsai is always a pleasure when the green appears.

I'd say June Blake has created a bit of heaven on earth. It seems formal designs with informal planting often make for the most pleasurable gardens. On this property the definitive hardscaping, including the low walled raised beds, creates frames in which June's artistic and knowledgeable succession plantings can be viewed separate from, but as integral components of, the larger landscape. ~ Her gorgeous display of tulips is a great example of how mass planting doesn't necessarily mean close together. Here man made hybrid bulbs almost take on the effect of wild flowers by being scattered throughout the sizable area of the varied textures of emerging spring foliage. I love this color combination! ~ Thanks for taking us along again and thanks to June for sharing so generously. ~ P.S.~ The link to June Blake's website is appreciated.
