This is my 1st attempt at growing pumpkins for Halloween. I planted the seeds on May 21st 2011 and this is their 3 week progress. I shot this on my new Flip Ultra HD. If you have made a video about how to plant pumpkins or how to grow pumpkins I have viewed it and taken many tips from all you pumpkin growers. More progress videos will follow.

This is after three weeks??? ugh, i don't know what I am doing wrong, mine have the same amount of leaves but they are like 1/4 the size.

Erm... how could you be sawing the branch you're on unless it was growing down from the sky?

i have a very small area to grow pumpkins on my terrace so please show how to grow SMALL pumpkins up there vertically

Gophers, squirrels and rabbits love to eat pumpkin sprouts. They wll chew them off right down to the ground. No matter how big the pumpkin plant gets -- and the vines crawl several yards from the main plaint -- the critters will attack them above and below ground. You'll have a beautiful plant spreading out for yards and one day you'll find the main stem chewed off just above ground level. That's good fencing. Needs to be able to stop more than just rabbits and squirrels. Below ground too.

i can't remember, i got it at lowes though. but i used it again this year, because i planted my seeds and about 10 days later one of them got a little bit eaten. probably a chipmunk, i then cut the chicken wire to small pieces and placed it around each plant, it's in my 2012 part 1 video. thanks for watching.

how much did the chicken/garden wire cost? It's expensive here...

I got the tree cut back a lot in the fall. I just posted a new video you can see it there.
