Hi jeff, nice veggie garden. I'm at Alexandra headland and just started growing veggies at home and also a banana tree. I'm interested to hear how many bunches of bananas you would get off a tree per year? My tree is only 500mm height so might take a while to get going.

As I check this out, I learned new things about gardening. Gardening requires responsibility because honestly speaking, as you were taking good care of your plants you must also observe your deeds if it is doing good or not. Living with gardening will surely make your life good as well as your healthy lifestyle indeed!

yea if i were you i would give away the frozen ghosts chilis and the plants but just keep one of the bhut jolokia plants you are currently growing. then you should order the seeds and you will have alot of room in your freezer and your garden. plus they would be great experience growing a new pepper you have never grown before.
-
i would love, LOVE to see you order some of those seeds and plant them. but remember to order the Moruga scorpions, those are the bad boys with 2.1 million SHU. big bang for your buck ide say

Banana stalks for borders. Thats brilliant! I've just been composting them. Not any more. Another great idea from my amigo Jeff.

Sydney is south of where you live correct? since Qld is kind of the north east of Australia. i really like how you are growing the Bhut Jolokia. If you want to try a really hot pepper, look up "Trinidad Scorpion butch T" on the internet and they will probably grow in your area considering you can grow some of those ghost chilis. i think the seeds range from 7 to 12 dollars in the U.S. and 1 Australian dollar is like 1.05 american dollars.
-
but i am still amazed at how much variety and success you have in your home garden, Australia must have the best climate to grow in. BANANAS! makes me jeolece that you can grow banana trees in your backyard.

yes. that would be a great thing to try out. considering my house has no good place to make a garden, i have to kind of plant the potatoes around the outside of my house as a trellis. my backyard is like the side of a hill, no grass can even grow on it. But again, next season when you try the containers, its appropriate to plant in a container a few feet in daimeter and to make sure it is pretty deep, so more potatoes can grow below the plant, resulting in bigger delicious sweet taters'

Do you water your Sweet potatoes daily? because im doing that for my first patch of sweets potatos. considering that they spreadout as they grow, my small raise might not be quite big enough to hold the canteloupe and the banana peppers.
-
it's great knowing you work for your food, not just going out and buying it every few weeks. i have always wanted to be able to grow my own food. good experience.
-
Dragon fruit, bananas, pineapples...sure makes my peas and spuds look ordinary! I love your garden tours because everything is so different from here and your enthusiasm is infectious. Great video. Best Wishes, Brendan.

Wow The garlic is looking FANTASTIC! I can't believe your ginger that's amazing! I don't know if it grows here, I always kill ginger LOL.

thanks Jeff. Always enjoy it. I thought about you the other day because I was thinking we're headed for summer so that will put you into fall and winter...
