Watch me working on a Japanese Maple from up in the tree. Here are some important tips to know when you work on this delicate tree species.

Hmm good point. I always try to oil my tools and clean them to prevent rust. Never thought about disease. Seems like you guys don't have a tool regimen in place though. So on a daily basis how do you normally clean and sterilize them?

I wish it were longer so I could have watched the pruning process. It was informative.
We have a 4 year old J. Maple - have not yet pruned. So, we appreciate the tip about 'sterilizing' your tools. Had not thought of that. Even though our Maple has no noticeable disease - this tip is good to know for future - just in case. Good video, thanks.
