Jalapeno Harvest Dehydrating and Freezing, plus the final garden harvest of the year 2013
Tips, Tricks
Four Jalapeno plants yielded 9.5 lbs of frozen red hot peppers. Plus some dehydrated ground up spice for sprinkling. I plan to dehydrate more peppers next year. Its easier than chopping and freezing. My goal is less work and time spent while getting the most produce from the garden. raised bed gardening square foot organic excalibur dehydrator 2400 4400 how to prepare ground spices raw food

Hey i was wondering the climate that you live in, i am thinking of growing jalopenos and am amazed at your yield

good video sir , i bought a dehydrator for this very purpose . However, 9lb of frozen peppers .... take away the frozen water aspect and your probably talking 4 to 5 lbs - if that even .

Awesome! Saving this

Do you top your Jalapeño plants?
-
very nice.

Nice jalapeño plants! I have two that are about 5ft tall. I have noticed that they are much hotter than the ones from the store. I need to get me a dehydrator. We do use up our jalapeños rather quickly with salsas and pico de gallo. So maybe I need more jalapeño plants haha. Enjoyed your video!

is the dehydrator heavy on the energy bill?

Hi, I love your vids! I've been trying to find some seasoning jars like yours but can't seem to locate them. Where do you get yours from?
-
do jalapeño plants really need cages?

I noticed the way you handled the peppers with plastic gloves, great idea. One time I handled japapeno peppers with my bare hands, what a mistake. My hands felt like they were sunburned. I finally used milk to quite the burn. As Barney would say, be careful.
Thank you. -
I think this guy loves spicy peppers, lol. Excellent harvest.

Great video! Thank you for not falling in love with the sound of of your own voice, as so many youtubers do. I try to live by the rule: it's better to be silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Thanks for sharing!!

Do you ever get aphids? I seem to get them every year, i don't want to use chemical insecticides because it's a food crop. I just try to spray them down with water but they're back everyday
