can you put paver sand over the rocks ? Just wondering if this would keep the pebbles in place more

smaller chunks of flat rock means less gravel.and looks better.

What type of fabric do y'all use for paths? I've been looking around and want something that will be able to handle gravel and be relatively thick. I haven't found a lot of useful info.

What do you do w/ all of the soil that you remove from the walkway? I assume you haul it off-site? But then what? And if you don't remove it from the site, do you just dump it somewhere out-of-sight for later use?

Does it have to be steel edging or just preferred.
