To create a floor and install the slabs with the "stepping stones" pattern, it is important to consider the necessary number of steps to complete the path and install the slabs at regular intervals. To guarante the maximum stability, we recommend dragging 5-6cm and adding a layer of fine gravel with a granulometry of 4 and 8mm, then compacting the substrate before placing the slabs. The slabs must not be laid so that they are higher than the grass level in order not to damage lawn-mowers. Don't put pebbles in your lawn. Use contractor sand as a base. It is easier to level with a trowel or tap the tiles flat with a rubber mallet. The color of this sand if brown, which blends with the dirt. Any excess sand that extends beyond the tile itself will be "invisible" as it looks like dirt. Also, loose pebbles that get into the grass are dangerous when mowing the lawn.

Anyone know another type or brand to use as I am in the USA and love to make a garden path this way..Thanks

How much weight are the tiles rated for? I am planning to park my car.

i picked up a bunch of good ceramic tile remnants - full tiles, just not full boxes. I want to set make an "in lawn" area similar to this one only smaller and am wondering if there is something particular about EVOKE that may not be true of the tiles i have. They are frost rated and haven't broken when i just layed them out on un-leveled ground...
