Every year candidates are selected for IARI jobs in research, academics, extension, management and for other staffing needs. For group B, 85% of the vacancies are filled by direct recruitment process and through ICAR competitive examination that is conducted by ICAR and also the competitive examinations conducted by the LDCs of the central and the state government. 10% of the vacancies are filled from the Group C staffs for the upgrading in their grade positions for group B positions. This is available for the employees who have completed three years of service in the IARI and also have the minimum educational qualification for the post. The employees should also pass the qualifying examination conducted by the respective department. 5% of the vacancies would be filled by seniority basis.
