Sad to see those flowers cut off! :(
In fact hydrangeas are very easy to grow and you can still achieve the intervals growing without cutting the flowers off. Just cut the leaves below the flowers where you want the new shoots to grow in their growing period (summer). I enjoy watching my hydrangeas bloom while the new shoots are growing and just dead head it when the flowers about to wither. -
How beautiful! The white ones must look spectacular if there are any. Are they fragrant?

How often should they be watered? I'm new to flowers and planting in general and these were left planted in the place I moved into yesterday. they are gorgeous and I'd like to keep them going, however I have no clue how to care for a flower. it's pink right now, but there are some white (groups?) that have died and are brown. should I cut those off??

that hurt my feelings to watch you cut all those flowers off

You can add a wire stem to the flower you have cut and use them for decor in the house. They will dry beautifully!

Hi, I had a giant endless summer growing near my house and when I had my house resided the guys broke the plant in pieces. The tallest stems now are only about a foot off the ground. My question is will the plant grow back to the 4' it was and should I do anything that might help it, besides fertilizing it. Thanks for any help you can give this distressed plant owner.
