Thanks, Rob! I just got back into gardening after living in the mountains for twenty years and i can finally grow tomatoes again! I stumbled across a lot of information as I got back into the game, the most relevant of which was learning about heirloom tomatoes. I only had a few plants come up from some seed packs i bought, so I went to my local nursery and randomly bought "mortgage buster" tomato plants, not knowing any different. I noticed how unusual the fruit looked, so i learned about what heirloom tomatoes are from You Tube. As you can imagine, I was pleasantly surprised to have the most delicious tomatoes I have ever tasted. I am now spoiled and have a hard time eating 'regular' tomatoes. Long story short (too late) your video was the best at showing me a simple way to get seeds from my beautiful plants for next year.

I saved some seeds from a few tomatoes using the fermenting method but most of the seeds appear to have started sprouting. The sprout isn't very big, just a little tiny nub starting to come out from the seed. Do you think the seed is still viable or can it no longer be stored and grown next season?

trying this method.. :)

Did you just use tap water Rob? If not do you think using tap water is an issue due to chlorine?

I just saved seeds from the tomatoes you sent keyplayr61. The fruit was delicious. Thanks for sharing them. We are about to get an asparagus bed started for next spring, do you have any tips for growing from the rhizomes or seeds? Thanks

I had no idea it was this easy! Way better than using a teaspoon!
Can you do strawberries in a similar way? (I tried the "skin them and leave in the sun" method with no success).
