I only use coffee grounds around fruiting plants that need acidic soil.

Even used coffee is still acidic.

Just know that if you use tea grounds you are adding aluminum fluoride to your soil, about 7-9 mg of it per teabag. Coffee has none of that.

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do drink lots of tea, so, can I use tea grounds in the same way?

Why dry it? Won't it just get wet again when it rains? Should I cover the plant so the coffee won't get wet?

Thanks Teca, i have used coffee grounds in a container, but it has mold from being wet. Can I still use it?
