Thanks. I had no idea that I could jiggle, let alone rip off, the "root-bound" area of transplants. Now maybe my black thumb will be less so....

Once the basil is transplanted to a bigger pot, how often does one water it initially? I made the mistake of slow dripping my 5 day old big pot basil on a timer for about 8 minutes, came back and I drowned my poor plants. Lesson learned to watch the watering.

Those sweet basil are so beautiful and big! Mine is not like that at all! I put organic fertilizer once a week and most times the leafs on the bottom turns yellow and I have to pluck them.
