How to setup Indoor Condo Gardening - Patio Gardening
Tips, Tricks
This is a walk through of my organic garden last year here in Vancouver B.C. The price of land is at a premium so I had to get creative where I have my garden. I have more videos like this on my main channel here! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGdltPE10ioX1I4tAEWKxzg

Looks like your tomato plant isn't getting enough sun. It is thin and scraggly with branches way too far apart which is an indication that it is trying to reach for light. It also needs good heat and the sunlight to produce tomatoes otherwise it will only bud and not produce fruit. It really needs to be outdoors to produce - unless you have an actual greenhouse with all the light it needs. Don't expect any fruit from that plant.

hello there . lhave a tometo plant ldont know what the problem it's not getting any bigger ?, thanks for the video :)

Leslie, for strawberries the most important thing is to have a planter that is deep so the strawberries can have a deep rootbase. Strawberries will not grow well in small bins, this is why strawberry planters are tall with little holes for the plants to grow from.

Do u have more than enough to eat? I have strawberries on my balcony, i live in LA, any tips?

I am deeply encouraged with these elegant ideas. I really learned something new through watching your video. I just can't believe how you grew such plants very productive. Nice job!

I've tried my finger, toothbrush. q tip as well as all sorts of soil supplements. I don't think there is enough sun on that side for the tomatoes.
-
maybe try pollinating with your finger and supplement the soil on a regular basis.
-
that's a good idea :)

For the strawberries, I had the same problem - just before you go to bed put some screen netting over it *tie it down in case it might blow away* or anytime you need to leave it along for a long period of time.

As a beginner I'd recommend doing leafy green veggies, herbs, beets, carrots and strawberries. Other things like citrus, tomatoes and cauliflower are a little harder to get good results with.

I love your indoor garden. I am a beginner.I soon look forward to having sumthing similar to your.

BC Brown: Thanks sadly I don't live there anymore :( All the plants were started in a sprouting tray in damp papertowel. I left the tray on the concrete floor where sun would hit the tray for a good portion of the day. The unit faced west but the patio got south and west sun. I'd say if you don't have south sun exposure don't try to do any citrus or tomatoes, they won't grow very well.

ELPressie: Ya I gave all the plants plant food. One thing I found that is cheaper is emptying the dustbuster and putting all the dust, hair etc right into the dirt. Especially if you have pets the hair has tons of nutrients plants need and will breakdown over time and feed the plants for free!

This is a nice looking apartment garden! You two have quite the green thumbs. Bravo. :) A few questions, if you don't mind. Did you start each item from seed or some from cuttings? Did you "greenhouse" them at any point? Your window/back patio exposure, is it eastern, southern, etc? I'm just starting to apt garden, so any tips or tricks you have for getting started is appreciated. Thanks. And again, congrats on a lovely garden.
