I water mine three times a day for 5 minutes at a time. I know it's not a pattern everyone can follow, but I've found a little water several times a day works wonders.

WHEN PLANTING A SLOPE-- we will be clearting the area, then smoothing. Then we spread the no mowing seed (from nomowgrass) and put down burlap (from amleo) to hold the seed down while the grass germinates. The burlap is suppose to deteriorate so it doesn't need to be lifted.

You don't need straw? How do you keep the neighbor's cats from walking and digging in the soil? I don't have the time to babysit my yard. I have to go to work everyday. How else do you pay your bills if you don't have a job?

I'm with alikhn91, although I imagine you can either leave it to totally decay and biodegrade, or rake it up after all of the seedlings have grown strong in their roots, with a light raking. Am I wrong?
