Hi Hannah, that looked like compost you were repotting with as apposed to soil, is that correct? I've also been advised to water basil from below instead of above to prevent mildew forming. Is this correct? I had a huge problem with blackening leaves, I picked them off, reduced watering slightly but started watering from below which seemed to make a huge difference. The basil has improved but was really in need of potting straight from the supermarket. Is it ok to repot it this time of year? or should I wait for spring? Thanks, Angela
