This is not organic sorry

If everyone could farm w/o laws. Would food become free? Would the economy be more important than ending hunger?
-
You've been smoking too much weed if you think those were intelligent arguments against organic farming.
-
Oh and what about just clearing trees for no reason other than a large check for the land owner. At least the land is put to good use.
-
lollipopfop that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Yes of course we need lots and lots of trees, but with the use of pesticides it kills pollinators such as bees. So where would the world be without bees? A treeless, fruitless, bare world. Big AG is not doing its part to protect the earth for future crops. Organic and back to basics ag can feed us all and still give us all the trees. Oh and google permaculture and see what you learn from that. One with nature not against!

And as for organic livestock and poultry its even worse, because as the livestock is allowed to roam free, predators like wolves have to be trapped, poisoned and shot to keep them away from it, as opposed to factory farms where they are confined, so the wolves and coyotes don't have to be killed to keep them safe. So you have to chose between wilderness and wild animals surviving, or happy cows, and organic produce, because you won't have both.
-
And if people turn to organic farming there will be less trees!!! Organic farms have 70 percent the yield of regular. Meaning it takes more room to grow the same amount of produce. So if we turned to organic farming, we would need to clear off more wilderness. All of our parks, preserves, every scrap of wilderness we have would have to be turned in to farms to have a hope of feeding people.
-
The problem is that organic farming isn't the answer either. Organic farms grow about 70 percent of the yield of a regular farm. Which means that if we wanted to feed people and we turned to organic farming, we would have to sacrifice almost all of our remaining wilderness to be cleared for farming. Which would be worse. The Boundary Waters, all our parks, all our our preserves would all have to be sacrificed just to feed people if we turned to organic farming. I like wild animals, so NO THANKS.

you are correct, nobody can believe about this quickly. and i can tell u, i really didn't expect that this site would send me a check of $240 for doing some surveys. i found it here: bit.ly\18lZPSW

I look at alotve pictures of landscapes, farms, deserts, etc. the one constant that I notice is the lack of trees. whats wrong with that picture? Man has constantly through the centuries moved to areas and used slash and burn tactics to clear land for farming. Logging Companies do the same thing, get 100s of thousands of acrs strip it down to the ground, man is mistaken in thinking that farms are simply ground level crops, we need to integrate trees into the farming techniques, TREES are a must

Well yea if you kill all the birds and earth worms and turn the soil in to shit you cant grow organic anything, thats the point of it all man dont you get it?
-
this is what people are misunderstood. you cannot compare favorably organic plant with tempered plants. organic rice cannot be as good as non organic rice (i try) simply because in organic rice, you are depending more on the nature to handle it self, than trying to make sure you plant healthier by giving good fertilizer and pesticide when some pest attacking you plant.
-
are you still farming now? if you did it for your own consumption, yes you can do it, but if you are looking to sell it, doing it that way, will put you out of business very quick. i plant rice for my consumption, no pesticide or fertilizer while i also plant rice for business, i can tell you my organic rice fail twice as many while my business rice produce successfully. when i try to sell my organic rice, people complain, why it is not as bright/big and consistent as my business rice.

Bro I grew up on a farm and nobody used any pesticides,in the 90s we didnt even have them there, all you need to grow plants is earth, sun, wind and water, the birds eat the insects. If its gardening for veggys and stuff likle that all you need is a propper net to cover the area and some cats to keep the roadants away, thats it. Farming/gardening is hard work, people want to just push some buton and then sell the products but thats not how it goes, you must get some dirt under your nails
-
if the farm next to you are using pesticide, guess what your plant will be effected too. to be honest only hippies do according what you said, if you doing it for a profit(where you farm to feed your family) there is no way you are going to let your plant died after planting for 2 months because of silly pest that easily corrected using pesticide. chemical is like a human medicine, if you use it accordingly it will bring you health but if you abuse it, it will destroy you.

no man, organic means without any pesticides, wen you use natural things to grow it like just earth, water and animal manure or earth worms, wen the earth is rich and just right ,not like some chimical dump.
-
this is not organic farming but just local farming. industrial farming is pretty much the same but on a larger scale. "organic" term is just a marketing gimmick to be used to compete with regular farming. sadly people believe in that. i did farm like him but i did not have decency to call my farm 'organic' because i still try to control the growth of my plants. true organic is when you just throw the seed and hope it will grow naturally and using only natural plants for that specific area.

This guy is a born looser. He will turn to physical violence if (seen him do it) ask the hard questions. Produce is way over sized, He has the biggest produce at market by far. That is very suspicious to me. I do not trust anyone that has perfect looking produce and calls themselves organic. Compare his stuff to others at market and you will see what I am talking about.
