Hi, I have two rose bushes that my mom planted last January. I know nothing about plants but my mom just sort of plants them and lets them die, so I took them all. Now, both rose bushes are still growing and they have these tiny tender new stems. The pots are too big for me to bring inside. Do I cut off new growth? Will they make it through the winter? Thanks in advance.

Loved your video. Just have a question I hoped you could help with. I have a few roses. All in pots. That I am in the process of moving to the garage for the winter. I live in the Poconos in Pa. I was curious. Should I be pruning them now or in the spring. I have never pruned them before. Most of them are fairly new. I bought in the last year or two.

So I just moved in to a new home, and I know nothing of roses (or plants, for that matter). But the rose bushes are very large and no longer look good for their location in the yard. How/when should I reduce the size of a rose bush - note that to look appropriate for the space, it will need to be about 40% smaller (60% of its current size). Is this possible or have the bushes gone too far to survive substantial pruning? They are a type of rose with millions of tiny thorns (not a few large ones) and thick branches. Thank you for any insight you can provide!

If it's brown, cut it down. If it's green, don't be mean

Can i ask about mulch aswell plz. Is there different mulches for different potted plants? Like eggshells for example, would that be good. Or Banana peels (or is that just for vegetable plants?) Can you prune with just regular scissors too? And should u prune the straggly thin roots at all that are in compost?

Excellent! Thank you so much. Nice close-ups so we can see exactly what to do (I had to go through a lot of videos to find that!).

We just moved into a house (End of April) and most of the yard has not really been maintained (and my husband and I grew up in South Dakota/Wyoming and now we live in a very different climate so we are not used to 90% of the plants and the ones we are used to are not native here and need lots of maintenance) anyways, can we prune the rose bushes in the summer? One has parts that art falling over and breaking...How should I do this?
