Is it best to cut close to the stim on my tomato plants? I'm always worried that if I cut close to the stim(removing suckers) that it could cause my main stim to have an issue. So I normally leave a small part behind 1/2 inch or so. Unless I'm pinching the suckers off then I get them as close as i can. I'm I just a bit over worried here?

I have wondered about that because my gets huge sometimes here in Florida.

I am frustrated with my zucchini. I have them since about end of april. I have 5 plants and I have yet to see one zucchinni from them. it has blossom one sex at a time so I have been unable to hand pollinate. they are healthy .no disease except for some very mild mildew one one plant. why are they not producing for me

Interesting. Never heard of pruning squash. I'll have to try this next year, all my squash died this year from a virus spread by the cucumber beetle :(.

Any recommendations on how to protect your squash and zucchini plants from squash bugs?

Thanks for the video, I have always trimmed my Zucchini leaves, but will not put them in the compost any more, good tip. I have had my 2nd picking this season and have 7 plants, the ones in my milk crates are doing better.

I'm just now waiting for my first zucchini to get larger so we can enjoy it. ^_^

Thank you for this helpful video. I'm so sad that after a very small harvest from my zucchini, they succumbed to the squash bugs. I hate, hate, hate those bugs! I lost my spaghetti squash to them also. I'm going out now and try to save my watermelon!

Very helpful. Thank you!

Hey, off-topic question again, mushrooms started randomly growing in my compost, is it a problem?

Nozucchini this year (my first year growing vegetables), but am having really good results with Winter Squash, that I propagated from seeds I recuperated from store-bought acorn, spaghetti and pepper squash. The plants seem to explode after very heavy rainfall. Much more than from the regular waterings they've received and they too are growing on a slope in a rock bed.
