I just tossed some really old Marigold seeds from years old packets into my garden bed Lightly raked over them watered and now have a multi colourful display of very large plants. Been getting praises for my flowers. :) Now I have loads of seed's from these flowers.

It's been a lot more than 5 days, more like 3-4 weeks and i'm still waiting for them to pop up. what am i doing wrong? i planted them in cells and i always keep the soil nice and moist.

I don't understand this - it says to plant them '4 to 6 weeks before the first frost'. Surely one should plant then in the spring before the last frost not in the autumn before the first one?
