How To Pollinate Peppers Indoor and How to Prevent Pepper Flowers From Dropping
Tips, Tricks
These questions may seem very simple to experienced gardeners, but quite a challenge for people who just started growing peppers. Many people wanted to see my indoor grow space, so I took the opportunity to answers these questions as well. I hope this information will help you with your pepper garden. Thanks for watching! Flowers dropping could be due to multiple reasons. It's hard to tell because I don't know the condition of your grow, but here are a few simple diagnostics you can do narrow down the problem. 1. Poor pollination due to lack of bees or wind. Try shaking your plants or use an electric toothbrush to vibrate the flowers. You can use Qtip to spread pollen as well. 2. Drastic temperature changes from day to night. It's best to try to keep the temperature constant between 75-80 F. 3. Lack of certain nutrients, such as calcium or magnesium. 4. Too much nitrogen during bloom stage 5. Imbalanced pH 6. It could be due to over watering if you're growing in soil My Indoor Setup: https://plus.google.com/118382364204627409312/posts/5Cr9CWGsoDG Pepper Community: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/115327395557843932467?gmbpt=true&fd=1 How to Make a Self-Watering Bucket: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWkg5ttOm5I Propagating Peppers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abESlZF-Z7g Force your Peppers to Produce: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ipk4DmfUJ4 Pepper Grafting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PF01yFK6VKo Mini Kratky Hydroponic Kit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqUn5N9U3IQ 2015 Pepper Series Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLPq8JWQbWhAmVMdw8iP3lysqgEZEbryy Hydroponic Nutrients: Masterblend: 1 Gallon of water, pH is between 5.9 - 6.5 3 Grams of Masterblend 4-18-38 3 Grams Calcium Nitrate 2 Gram of Epsom Salt General Hydroponic Nutrients(Flora Series 3 Parts): 1 Gallon of water, pH is between 5.9 - 6.5 5 ml Flora Micro 5 ml Flora Gro 5 ml Flora Bloom 5 ml Cal/Mag Neem Oil Spray for Aphids: Use Standard Home Depot Spray Bottle 2 plastic spoons of Neem oil 1 plastic spoon of Dish Soap Fill the rest of the bottle with water and shake well What I'm Growing This Year: 7 Pot Bubblegum Red Aji Pineapple Bahamian Goat Butch T x Reaper (BTR) Carolina Reaper Chocolate Primo/Reaper (CPR) Jamaican Red Mushroom Jamaican Scotch Bonnet - Red Jamaican Scotch Bonnet - Yellow Jay's Peach Ghost Scorpion Jay's Red Ghost Scorpion Jay's Peach Ghost Scorpion x Chocolate Ghost MOA Scotch Bonnet Sugar Rush Peach Trinidad Scorpion CARDI White Devil's Tail - From Graft White Labuyo Bleeding Borg 9 MA Wartyx Thai Birds Eye

Thank you, Khang, I'll try the shaking/flicking method.
-
Very beautiful.indoor plant . How to do it .i like it.

Hi Khang, excellent video. I've been growing a pepper plant at work, for fun. I noticed that flowers were growing but not producing fruit. After watching the video, it helped me understand that my theory was correct. The pollen needed to be disturbed. Due to your excellent video, I've started dropping the pollen and hope to see some fruit grow soon. You've also got another subscriber for it as well!

Yeah I've had a few buds drop off. The one I had in the soil pretty much all dropped off this morning. I have one in a masterblend mix and that dropped buds as well but it grew the fasted.
-
How long does it take for the flower to close after pollinating it?
-
You sound like me, Khang. I new nothing about growing anything 5 years ago. Now, I start to grow from seeds and it is hard to throw away any healthy plants so I try to jam as many as I can in a pot. I just love growing vegies plants and others. I used Earth boxes.
Love your videos! -
thank you

oh shit... I had no idea you were supposed to do this... my flowers all dropped and the plants are getting huge (about 2.5 feet tall) with no new flowers... Am I screwed? Should I trash them and start over?

Thank you for giving me this link. I'm lucky the south side of my living room is all windows, so I bring in all my tropical plants (Minnesota) and all kinds of herb. I also have a garden window where I can put quite a few plants and In the basement I have an area for growing seedling. I understand your problem with so many plants, I'm the same. I'm trying your suggestion for growing some cuttings. Thanks. Nice site.

Hi. Is it good for the pepper plants to use the egg shells mixed with used coffee grounds as fertilizer? I just planted my pepper seeds 2 days ago.
