Once you cut it does it regrow and repeat? How much sun?

Those holes seemed awfully deep and adding more mix after the seeds went in doesn't make sense. Lettuce seeds are typically sprinkled and top, tamped down to make contact with the soil, and then dusted with a thin layer of soil mix. I'd love to see if any actually grew.

Hi Tecla why is my lattuce taking ages to grow?
I used a container like yours and only planted 3-4 lattuce at 15cm apart. It has been nearly 3 months bit the lattuce is really little. Few lottel leaves. Also on of them is growing tall 20cm but not much foliage eccept a bit at the bottom.
I started from seeds bu i thing 3 months is plenty time for lattuce to fully grow isnt' it?

But it's all purpose potting soil. I have some by miracle grow and it says for flowers and veggies. It explains that it has enough nutrients for up to 3 months. I "liked" your comment because I think that ppl. should read what you said (good stuff) but also reminded those that all purpose is also a good soil.

I would not use potting soil (a sterilized material) for any plant I want to eat. Use good garden soil, a seed-starting medium (if you are going to transplant) soil with your own compost/soil.I want to know that I am getting all the good vitamins and minerals from my organic veggies, due to the rich soil, filled with millions of organisms/compost that organic soil has.

you have way too many seeds for such a small tray. i would only keep 3 plants in this small area.

You should show some that have grown in. I have never seen lettuce in the ground:)
