How to Plant Daylilies Video
Tips, Tricks
http://springhillnursery.com/daylily-plants/c/515/pc/1716/ - In this video, Scott from Spring Hill Nurseries shows how to plant a daylily. Daylilies are very easy to plant. First, pick a spot that is sunny, full sun is the best. Next, dig a hole that is about two times as wide as the roots, and about a foot deep. Your day-lilies ordering from Spring Hill nursery are shipped as a root plant. Build a small mound in the center of the hole, which will allow you to spread the roots throughout the hole. The crown (top) of the root mass should be at the soil line. Add fertilizer that is high in phosphates, and cover up the plant with soil. Water heavily, but dont drown the plant.

If you spread the roots, the plant will grow fast. If you bind the roots together they will be cramped and the plant will make bloom. So if you only have one plant, spread the roots. If you have more of them and you want them to bloom quickly, make them feel there in a cramped space (like a pot).
