No. The full cabbage will not grow into another. However, seed is typically formed in flower stalks produced the second year of growth. If theese seed are allowed to mature and are replanted they will grow new plants. Typically, it's easier to buy seed or transplants for cabbage.

daniel, We typically plant our cabbage in this zig-zag pattern at 18 inches apart. This worked very well with the plants only overlapping slightly. Thanks for your question and good luck.
