So you have to remove the corns? Or can they grow together and make sure they get pollinated? Or will they definitely die if more than one grows that close together?
-
Are there anymore updates on how the three sisters did? How it looks full grown?
-
So I had a question whats the point of thining the corn

cut your thinnings don't pull..

how many squash plants per corn planted (you say three squash plants per row of corn planted but not sure if squash needs to be planted per corn)? where do you plant the squash (next to the corn, under the corn stem, by the beans)? when do plant the squash (how mature do beans and/or corn have to be before planting)? how much space must there be roughly between the squash, beans and corn (for the beans if looked roughly one inch away from the corn plant when you planted it)? I am just a beginner and as soon as the warm weather hits I want to try this out -

Do you have an issues with borers invading the squash plants while corn is nearby? I was just wondering if the smell of the corn disguised the smell of the squash plants from the bugs.

great in small garden thanks

Just wanted to update you on my 3 sisters garden last year .. I got corn, but nothing else. How did yours do?
-
how to you keep the rows neat and together? I did rows for corn, lettuce and carrots (corn was separate , lettuce and carrots together in another bed) but it keeps getting washed down and is flat, while the corn still has some height to it but it's shrunk and is also almost leveled with the other dirt around it from watering =/

Thank you so much for your easy guide. I dont have a lot of space, and was wondering, How many inches apart are all the plants (that are in the same row)? How many inches are the string beans to the squash, & the squash to the corn? B/c I live in a cold region, I had to start my seeds in a cup, as opposed to outside, and they are doing nicely... I just have to transplant them in the lil yard I have, but was hesitant, b/c I am not sure about the inches apart. Thank you for sharing :)

nice video... so one corn will be enough to support 4-5 pole beans? anyway what was the yield of the bean? thanks

Thank you for the instruction video. I'm going to try planting 3 Sisters in my 4x4 square foot garden. They say it's possible.

Thanks for the vid. You didn't take a vid of what your full-grown garden looked like did you? Just a note: the beans actually provide nitrogen for next year's garden, so it's important to either leave legumes where the die or compost them and use that compost : "Nitrogen contained in this plant material [primarily stems and leaves] is released over time and is available to other plants. However, because most of this nitrogen is not available until after the legume dies, only grasses [in this case, corn] that follow the legume growing season can use it." (Last two paragraphs: http://overton.tamu.edu/faculty-staff/gerald-wayne-evers/cool-season-legumes/nitrogen-fixation/#.UxbCxoXih4w)
