I plant carrots, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, turnips, mustard greens, radish, onions, beets, spinach. Swiss chard for the 1st time to try it because I have never eaten it before. I wanted to grow some peas, but I have to go get the seeds.

Nice vid Luke. Our first frost date is Nov. 13th. When should I plant shallot and leek seed? Could I plant now and cold frame overwinter, or would it be best to wintersow for next year? Our winters are short, but they do get below freezing for a while.
One last question: when would it be best to plant scorzonera and Mammoth salsify seed? Any tips for first time growing these veggies? Thanks. :-) -
why not call this video "the carrot video"

I just planted about 2 weeks ago root vegerables plus spinach and kale. Nothing has come up. I planted them when the temp was about 78 the middle of August. I live in Colorado and the temps at night were between 68 and 53 so far. I am kind of bummed about this. I also put new top soil in before I planted the seeds.
Do you have any suggestions or recommendations on what I should have done, thanks. -
Its the end of August and it is still mid 90s in north Texas.Would my seeds have trouble germinating in direct sowing with this temp?

I've never seen dill that big before! I think this year I'm going to plant broccoli, kale, spinach, lettuce, carrots, onions, garlic, and cabbage. Didn't know if I could grow kohlrabi and shallots. I've already got peas, lettuce, grn. beans, tom.s, a few cabbage, spinach planted. Good advice!
