Any plans on grafting any other varieties to that tree, Patrick? I have a peach tree that doesn't produce desirable fruit, and I've seen a few grafting videos; but I'd like to see your choice of methodology.

I planted a reliance peach this spring (Zone 4). I am excited to see what recipes you come up with for the peaches. Best fruit for my money.
-
Hope you got a very good producer there :)

Please keep us updated, as its leaves start coming in!

Yeah I planted last Saturday it was already pretty good outside. I think because I dropped the fertilizer in the painting hole with the plants and not worked it in might of been the problem. I will try again and hopefully I can get some more compost to work it in
-
I used peat Moss, coconut coir, some humus and compost. The fertilizer was trifecta plus but I did put in the hole and didn't work it in its just planted directly in. weather has been hot remember I'm in Niles Illinois not to far from you. I just bought some starts, going to plant them Saturday morning. Can I replant them in the same area ?

Hey buddy hope all is well. I have a quick question, I think I over fertilize my tomatoes and some of my cilantro, they pretty much died. My question is since I have a small space can I replant new plant's in the same area and what should I do if it's OK to replant?? Any thoughts would help please going to get so.e new compost and some more peat Moss to my garden. As always thanks for your help..

off topic question, but do your cats ever dig up your garden looking for whatever?? Have you had any issues with raccoons or possums?? thanks !

Lots of great info her,
Patrick, Thank you. mark used the same application for potting a dwarf grafted cherry this year its been in a pot x 2 years in the house so we hope to see fruit set by next year since it is now outside. If we have issues, I will refer mark here to re- try. I'll trade you peaches for cherries in a couple years!:) -
I believe for wooden stakes it is important to cut them off at soil level instead of pulling them as roots may have grown into them over time.
-
I wish that I could grow peaches here. I did add a Mountain ash Shiva tree this spring and I just ordered two Romeo dwarf sour cherry trees. Good luck with the new tree Patrick!
-
Oh mate your soil ;-) Did you not consider training it. I am amazed at the bloom my apple and pear have put on this year since I trained them the cherry I planted will have a 4.5 mtr spread and just over 2mtr high well thats the plan lol. But I wish I had done that with the plumb..
-
Patrick, this is pure perfection!!! Bravo ;-)

Hi Patrick, I also heard about problem with mycorrhiza and to much phosphorus that's; why I'm reluctant to use it in veggie garden.
-
I'm going to have to do a video where I attempt to dig a whole in my yard. I just need to borrow a jack hammer first. LOL. Nice clip mate.
-
Awesome tips! I thought all baby trees needed to be staked... I just love how rich your soil looks ~ absolutely beautiful. :)
-
Great info on items I had not learned about before on planting fruit trees, including not staking. Thank you!

Apparently Myke is suggested for a high success rate. I plan on trying it this year. Take a look and provide your thoughts.

Looks like a nice health little tree. I just planted two eatable crabapples that are about the same size. Is you asian pear a grafted tree with multiple varieties. I have one that I got two years ago it has four grafts and three of them produced small pears last year. I was just checking it and all four grafts are going to have blossoms this year.

I wondered if you'd spraying your Redhaven Peach with sulfur to prevent peach leaf curl ? Thanks as always I enjoy your videos.
