Where I'm from we boil a few whole leaves to make the tea. Is it better to steep? Does boiling reduce the health benefits?

Did you say that you cool it down as drink it as 'iced' tea? I do not like hot teas but love iced teas. Could I do this and drink it over ice?

Thanks for the recipe. However, please check your plant. It looks more like citronella then lemongrass to me. Bottom of lemongrass is white. Yours is reddish.

What you have there is called an infusion, the colloquial term is a brew.
Tea = Camellia Sinensis.

I've been using lemon grass for quite some time now. I never tried it with ginger - will do so as soon as I get home.
I use lemon grass tea bags but fresh ginger.
I use ginger juice with vegetable and grapefruit juices - taste is wonderful
