Can you use round up or something besides arsenic?

Come on now..You need a license in the USA too for any chemical that is so required...Second glysophate is Roundup!

You tell it it was a mistake and you were just a sperm donor and you dont want anything to do with it.. thats one way for it to kill itself. 🙄

To control some elms, hackberries, and honey-locusts on my property, I'm having better luck using a 20% glysophate solution (cut 41% concentrate with equal amount of water). I add a drop of Basic H to a quart (surfactant). But instead of hacking, I carry a battery powered drill and drill a 3/8" about half an inch deep at a 45 degree angle. That puts more of the solution in contact with a greater amount of vascular tissue. With the hack method, I was getting less than 20% control rate. With the drill method I'm getting a near 100% control rate. This also seems to prevent the bad problem of honey-locust root suckers forming. It helps if the trees are experiencing a period of high evapotranspiration rates.

For the time you took it would seem to me that you could get much quicker and better results by just carrying around a small chain saw, jobs done.

Would Round-up be effective too?

Any suggestions for stopping the invasive roots? I don't want to kill the whole tree. I think they are poplar but their roots extent hundreds of feet from the tree. I have a pole shed with trees sprouting in it from these roots and sprouts all over the yard.

If the poison is that potent you probably don't want to drink it. Unfortunately the drinking water is where it ends up.

Too bad this wouldn't work on yucca tree/shrubs as well. I've chopped yuccas down to stumps and painted the stump with full strength total vegetation killer, and the damn things will come back in a year, resprouting from the roots. Hate yuccas...
